Our balms are crafted using grass-fed tallow from Desert Mountain Grass Fed Beef, our family-run cooperative of ranchers raising cattle across the open rangelands of Idaho.

For generations, traditional skincare relied on nutrient-rich animal fats to nourish and protect skin. Tallow closely resembles the natural oils found in human skin, allowing it to absorb easily and support the skin barrier without synthetic additives.

What Makes Grass-Fed Tallow Different

Not all tallow is created equal.

The tallow used in Prairie Glow products comes from cattle raised on pasture and open rangeland, where animals graze naturally and are never finished in feedlots.
